Cricket Switzerland is proud to announce that it will host its first-ever official Women’s T20 International (WT20I) tournament from 27–31 July 2026 at Embrach Cricket Ground, Zurich, marking a significant milestone in the country’s cricketing history.
The Four-Nation Women’s T20 International Series will feature the national teams of Switzerland, Brazil, Spain and Jersey, bringing together four emerging cricket nations for five days of exciting international competition. The tournament provides an important opportunity for players to compete for ICC ranking points while showcasing the continued growth of women’s cricket in Europe and beyond.
For Cricket Switzerland, this tournament represents far more than a series of matches. It is the first time Switzerland has hosted official ICC-recognised Women’s T20 Internationals, reflecting the steady development of the game, the dedication of our volunteers, clubs, officials and players, and the confidence placed in us by the international cricket community.
Hosting this event is another important milestone in Cricket Switzerland’s long-term vision of establishing Switzerland as a destination for international cricket while creating more opportunities for women and girls to participate in and be inspired by the game. The tournament will also provide the Swiss Women’s National Team with a valuable opportunity to compete against strong international opposition on home soil.
Cricket fans can look forward to five days of high-quality cricket as Switzerland, Brazil, Spain and Jersey compete for honours in what promises to be a memorable festival of international women’s cricket.
