The Cricketer Pro Cup is the second-tier T20 competition in the country, proudly sponsored by Cricketer Pro. As the gateway to top-tier cricket in Switzerland, this prestigious tournament features 26 teams, offering a competitive platform for new entrants into Cricket Switzerland competitions.
Tournament Format
Teams are strategically divided into four regional groups, ensuring balanced competition. Two teams from each group proceed to the quarterfinals phase followed by semi-finals, culminating in a high-stakes final. The victorious team secures promotion to the prestigious Cricket Switzerland T20 Championship-Elite Division for the following season.
All challenges to the relegation or promotion can be made till 1 week after the official announcement. Any challenge in the following season will not be accepted.
Qualification Process
- The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals.
Quarter Final Matchups
- QF1: A1 vs B2
- QF2: B1 vs A2
- QF3: C1 vs D2
- QF4: D1 vs C2
Group A – Central Division 1
Group B – Central Division 2
Group C – Eastern Division
Group D – Western Division
Semifinal Matchups
- Semi-Final 1: QF 1 vs. QF 4
- Semi-Final 2: QF 2 vs. QF 3
- Home Venues: The best-ranked teams after the quarterfinal stage will host the semifinals.
Tournament Schedule
- Quarter-finals (Cricketer Pro only) 15th-16th Aug (Reserve: 22-23 Aug)
- Semi-finals – 22nd – 23th Aug (Reserve 29th-30th Aug)
- Finals – 6th Sept (Reserve 12th Sept)
Regulations & Governance
- A minimum of five overs per team is required for a result.
- Teams earn 10 points for a win, 5 points for a rain-affected match, and 0 points for a loss.
- If teams are tied on points, net run rate (NRR) determines standings.
Rewards & Recognition
Beyond the honor of victory, the competition offers substantial prize money for both the champions and runners-up, adding to the tournament’s excitement.
