Developing the next generation of Swiss cricket
The Cricket Switzerland U19 Youth League 2026 provides young cricketers across Switzerland with a structured platform to compete, develop their skills and gain valuable match experience.
The Youth League features two formats — a 50-over competition and a T20 competition — running from April to October 2026.
Through these competitions, Cricket Switzerland continues to invest in youth cricket, creating more opportunities for young players to play competitive cricket while supporting the long-term growth and sustainability of the sport in Switzerland.
Two Formats. One Development Pathway.
The U19 Youth League brings together clubs and the Switzerland U19 National Team in a season designed to give young players regular exposure to competitive cricket.
U19 50-Over Competition
The 50-over competition provides players with the opportunity to develop their skills in the longer format of the game, with greater emphasis on building innings, bowling spells, fielding discipline and tactical awareness.

Switzerland U19 National Team
The participation of the Switzerland U19 National Team adds an important high-performance element to the competition.
The U19 national team used the Youth League as part of its preparation and match programme ahead of the ICC U19 World Cup Qualifiers in Guernsey in July 2026, providing players with valuable competitive opportunities against domestic opposition.

U19 T20 Competition
The U19 T20 competition provides a faster-paced format of the game, giving young players opportunities to develop their decision-making, adaptability and skills in high-intensity match situations.
Seven teams are participating in the 2026 U19 T20 competition.

Building the Future of Cricket in Switzerland
Youth cricket is an important part of Cricket Switzerland’s long-term development strategy.
By providing regular competitive opportunities, the U19 Youth League helps young players progress from junior cricket towards senior club cricket and, for those who reach the required level, the national team pathway.
The combination of 50-over and T20 cricket also allows players to experience different aspects of the game while developing technical skills, tactical understanding, teamwork and match awareness.
For clubs, the Youth League provides a platform to strengthen their junior programmes and create a clear pathway for young cricketers to remain involved in the sport as they progress through the age groups.
A Season of Opportunity
From August to October 2026, the U19 Youth League brings together young cricketers from across Switzerland in a season focused on competition, development and opportunity.
With clubs competing in both formats and the Switzerland U19 National Team using the competition as part of its preparation programme, the Youth League represents an important step in the continued development of youth cricket in the country.
