The Cricket Switzerland Junior Sub-Committee is planning on organising an ICC L1 Coaching Course. It will be a two-day in-person course to be held in Geneva on 29 & 30 April 2023. All participants signing up for this will need to complete an on-line foundation course prior to attending the in-person training.
As you are aware, the Junior Sub-Committee has already made it mandatory for all Junior National Coaches to have, at a minimum, a Level 2 Coaching qualification in the absence of any recent playing experience in cricket of a good standard. This Level 1 course will serve as the foundation for moving ahead to Level 2 in the future.
Additionally, in order to achieve a more structured approach to coaching at the club level, the Junior Sub-Committee is now planning on making it mandatory for all club coaches involved in coaching junior club teams to have a minimum L1 coaching qualification. So we urge you to make the most of this opportunity to get as many of your coaches certified as possible. The minimum age for achieving a L1 Coaching Certification is 16 years, so this is a great opportunity for clubs to get their older youth players involved in this too!
Please register your interest by filling-up the Registration Form.
Do note that there are only limited seats available, so please register early to avoid any disappointment.
In addition to the Level 1 course, the Junior Sub-Committee will also be organising a Level 2 Coaching course in Aug-end / early-Sep – the details for which will be communicated in due course.
