With a busy international schedule on horizon, Cricket Switzerland Selection committee has announced a 30-member Core Squad of the National Players for 2022 season. The players have been invited to take part in the training sessions and work with specialist coaches to enhance their skills. A number of trial games and training sessions have been scheduled for the core squad.
The International Selection Committee will continue to monitor the performance of current, past and future squad members and will make changes to the National Training Squad over the season. There is a schedule of Squad updates already set out with the dates of, 1st April, 1st July and 1st October each year set up for these updates.
The Men’s National Team will take part in a bilateral T20 series with Luxembourg (10-11 June) followed by the all-important ICC 2024 European Subregional World Cup Qualifiers in Finland (link to: https://cricketswitzerland.ch/2022/02/03/switzerland-prepares-for-icc-2024-mens-t20-world-cup-european-sub-regional-qualifiers-participation/)
The Core Squad will meet for the first session on 17 April at Embrach Cricket Grounds in Zurich and players will then be put into paces by the coaching staff.
