Participation of U18 Players in Senior Men’s Competitions

Cricket Switzerland welcomes talented young players to participate in Senior Men’s competitions, provided they meet the minimum age requirement of 15 years. To ensure the safety, well-being, and fair participation of players under 18, the following rules and guidelines apply:

1. Parental/Guardian Consent

Players under 18 must provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian before participating in any competition.

2. Protective Equipment

All players under 18 are required to wear appropriate protective gear at all times, including a helmet with a faceguard while batting, wicket-keeping (standing up to the stumps), or fielding in close positions.

3. Bowling and Workload Restrictions

To prevent injury, players under 18 must follow Cricket Switzerland’s bowling workload guidelines:

16–18 years718

4. Fielding Restrictions

Players under 18 are not allowed to field in dangerous close-in positions (within 10 yards of the batter), except behind the wicket on the off side.

5. Club Responsibility

Clubs must ensure proper supervision and safeguarding for all players under 18, including compliance with child protection policies and adherence to safety regulations.

These regulations are designed to protect young players, support their development, and maintain the integrity of the competition.
