Edward Pereira, founder of Nomads Cricket Club, and passionate promoter of cricket in Switzerland has passed away

Edda, as he was fondly known to everyone in the cricket circuit in Switzerland has passed away peacefully on the morning of 27 September 2022.
He was the founding member of Nomads cricket club in Zurich in 1984 and was associated with the club till the end. He was ever-present at all the games of Nomads CC until recently and was passionate about the game.
He was part of the Nomads Cricket Club executive for many years and served the club in various capacities until the end. He was instrumental in providing direction to the club ensuring it reaches the heights of success while ensuring that cricket is always played in the right sport
He had an amazing sense of the game and his humor on the player performances (or non-performances) was exemplary.
Apart from playing a key role in development of Nomads cricket club, Edda was always willing to help in promotion of cricket overall in Switzerland. He always encouraged new ideas and initiatives which could benefit the game of cricket.
The Club has a lost a legend and a leading light who has helped the clubs during its darkest times and was instrumental in ensuring that the club is in a healthy state.
His services and love for the game of cricket, are very much appreciated and will be greatly missed.
