Code of Behaviour
Pre-amble
The Cricket Switzerland Code of Conduct governs player behavior in domestic cricket competitions, ensuring fair play and sportsmanship. Aligned with the Swiss Olympic Ethics Charter, it upholds the traditional values of cricket, demanding “gentlemanly” conduct from all participants.
The Cricket Switzerland Disciplinary Committee, appointed annually before the season, is responsible for drafting and enforcing the code. Players found in breach may face penalties ranging from match suspensions to long-term or lifetime bans, depending on the severity of the offense.
The Code of Conduct reflects Cricket Switzerland’s commitment to fostering a respectful and ethical cricketing environment, safeguarding the integrity of the game across all levels.
