Key Features of the Code

The new Code is essentially an updated version of the former Cricket Switzerland Anti-Corruption Code, continuing to uphold the principles of fair play and integrity by:

  • Preventing match-fixing in all forms.
  • Preventing illegal betting on matches or match elements.
  • Addressing actions that bring the game into disrepute, such as accepting gifts or benefits intended to influence decisions.

The Code ensures the creation of a level playing field for all cricket matches and protects the integrity of the sport.

Applicability

All participants in cricket in Switzerland are bound by the provisions of the Code. Participants are defined in detail under clauses 1.5 to 1.7.3.4 of the ICC Code.
