Cricket Switzerland is delighted to announce the appointment of Asvin Lakkaraju as its first-ever General Manager, effective immediately.
Asvin was selected following a competitive recruitment process that attracted a strong field of candidates from both within and outside Cricket Switzerland.
A well-respected figure in the Swiss cricket community, Asvin has dedicated more than two decades to the sport in Switzerland. During this time, he has served as an official at both club and national levels, while also representing clubs and the Swiss national team as a player. His extensive experience across Switzerland and the wider European cricket landscape provides him with a deep understanding of the game and its continued development.
Reporting directly to the Board, Asvin’s responsibilities will include strategic development, operational oversight, stakeholder and partner engagement, innovation and growth initiatives, and external communications, as well as the management of the national office.
The establishment of the General Manager position follows the approval by members at the most recent Annual General Meeting to engage professional staff, representing a significant milestone in Cricket Switzerland’s ongoing evolution and commitment to strengthening the sport nationwide.
