Cossonay CC Crowned CSPL Champions After Unbeaten Season

Nov 19, 2025 | 2025, CSPL, Domestic

Cossonay Cricket Club have completed one of the most remarkable seasons in Swiss cricket history. After going unbeaten throughout the Cricket Switzerland Premier League (CSPL) and securing a record-breaking 93 points—the highest ever recorded—they have been crowned CSPL Champions. But their achievements did not end there. In a historic milestone, Cossonay CC also claimed the Women’s National Championship, becoming the first club in Switzerland to win both the men’s and women’s titles in the same year.

Unbeaten CSPL Campaign Sets a New Standard

From the opening match to the final fixture, Cossonay CC’s men’s team delivered a level of consistency and control unmatched in this year’s competition. Their perfect record reflects a disciplined squad capable of dominating with both bat and ball.

The batting department was led by Jai Sinh, who amassed 178 runs at an impressive average of 59, anchoring key innings and providing the stability the team needed in pressure moments.

The bowling attack was spearheaded by Ashwin Vinod, who finished as the league’s leading wicket-taker with 19 wickets at an extraordinary average of just 9. His match-winning spells repeatedly put Cossonay in commanding positions.

Women’s Team Completes the Historic Double

In parallel with the men’s triumph, the Cossonay Women’s team delivered their own championship-winning season, securing the Women’s National Title and completing an unprecedented club double. No team in Switzerland has ever won both the men’s and women’s championships in the same year, making this a landmark moment not only for the club but for Swiss cricket as a whole.

Reflecting on the spectacular season, President of Cossonay Yeti Sinh said: “Cossonay CC is really proud of the successes achieved by our men’s and women’s teams in Season 2025. These victories give tribute to every player who has ever played for Cossonay CC, Junior, Senior alike. Our passion will continue, as is the Cossonay CC non-stop training and effort culture.”

Captain Arjun Vinod reflected on the season: “This achievement is a reward for the hard work and commitment shown by every player – not just this season, but over the past several years. It also reflects the incredible effort from the Cossonay CC committee in creating the right environment, facilities and opportunites for our teams. Sharing this success with our women’s team makes it truly historic. This double victory represents not just talent, but the dedication and inclusivity that Cossonay CC stands for.”

A Season That Redefines Excellence in Switzerland

Cossonay CC’s achievements—an unbeaten CSPL campaign, a record points tally, and a historic two-title sweep—reflect a strong club culture, exceptional coaching, and a commitment to excellence and inclusivity across both men’s and women’s cricket.

Cricket Switzerland congratulates Cossonay Cricket Club on this extraordinary season and their place in the history books as CSPL Champions and the first-ever double winners in Swiss cricket.
